So I have just registered to attend the Atlanta Startup Weekend, From November 13-15th.  Basically, I will meet other people looking to start up their own technology companies and will form teams to try to get startups launched and ready.  I have some really cool ideas that I might share to try and get some help from people who have better programming skills than I do.   Hopefully I don’t feel out of place as my ability to code (or my willingness to do it) is very lacking.

I signed up under the ‘marketing’ role so hopefully I can use my ability to get a good understanding of what people want and how we can best build a product to match that.  With that direction, I hope to guide the developers to build a product that is worthy of being used by a wide range of people in a specific market.   I am currently playing with a few of my ideas and will hopefully narrow them down to 1 or 2 for me to share at the event.

I am really looking forward to the event as I hope it will be a great catalyst of getting some of my ideas off the ground.  Worst case scenario, I meet some people who are in the same position I am and I learn a lot!
